Overview
If you're a veterinarian (this course is for veterinarians only) and you wish to be a microchip implanter in Queensland you must have the correct qualifications. This AVA course is your step closer to obtaining your qualification and is in accordance with the Animal Management (Cats & Dogs) Act 2008. Once you complete the requirements of this course, you will be able to apply online for your authorised implanter number (AIN) with the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF).

Who should attend
This course is for veterinarians only who practice in Queensland and are looking to receive their microchipping qualification to perform microchipping on dogs and cats.
Learning outcome
The Microchipping accreditation is for veterinarians only. It includes a presentation and a video, plus an assessment which containing 10 multiple choice questions. Once you complete all activities and satisfy the requirements, you'll automatically and immediately have access to your Certificate of Achievement and the ability to apply for your AIN.
If you are an AVA Member, 2 CPD points upon completion of the accreditation will be automatically updated in My CPD on the AVA website.
