Local Land Services, the NSW Department of Primary Industries and the Australian Veterinary Association are holding FREE workshops for veterinarians in four locations across NSW with CPD points for participation. NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) with Local Land Services (LLS) will facilitate a range of emergency animal disease (EAD) surveillance and preparedness initiatives throughout 2023.
The NSW Government is subsidising veterinary laboratory testing for new livestock disease investigations until 30th June 2023. Testing is available for disease investigations conducted by private veterinarians on livestock that are susceptible to foot-and-mouth disease.
The “Glovebox Guide: Biosecurity, emergency animal diseases and preparing livestock for transport” provides clear, digestible, contemporary information on these main issues that all livestock owners, producers, and those involved in the market chain need to be familiar with. Free copies of the Glovebox Guide are available for NSW veterinary practices and their clients.
